Dr Mohannad Alireza (2025)
Dr. Mohannad Alireza, MD, is a current clinical fellow in our program. He earned his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia,followed by a clinical internship at the same institution. Dr. Alireza completed his five year ophthalmology residency program in Paris, France, training at several prestigious hospitals. During this period, he obtained his French Board of Ophthalmology certification from Sorbonne University in Paris, France.
Upon returning to Jeddah, Dr. Alireza practiced as an ophthalmologist at one of the nation’s leading ophthalmology centers, providing comprehensive eye care with a focus on retinal diseases and performing cataract surgeries. To further enhance his surgical skills, he spent a month in Chennai, India, at the renowned Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital, performing numerous cataract surgeries under supervision.
After three years of practice, Dr. Alireza joined the Queen’s University Retina Fellowship to pursue his passion for treating retinal diseases. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis and working out.
